This is my first 4th of July that I haven't spent with my family. Up until tonight it didn't really even feel like the 4th. Usually we get up early had down to the town square for fun activities and live music. But this year I got up and did some homework. After I did some homework I worked on finishing my headboard. It didn't take very long to finish the last couple lines. My room finally looks complete now that I have the headboard done! Later one of my roommates, Emelyne, has family who live close by and they were kind enough to invite us all to their family party. Emelyne's aunt picked us up around 4:30 and we all went to their families house. I was glad that we still got the opportunity to do something festive and patriotic. After dinner we just hang out and played with all the little kids who were there. One of the family members just got a new puppy! It was so cute! Emelynes family goes all out on fireworks. Like hundreds of giant fireworks! Their 2 car garage was full along with one of the neighbors. They had 4 rounds of like 30-40 minutes of shooting off fireworks nonstop. It was insane I have never seen so many fireworks!!! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to live in America and be able to get an education. I'm so blessed to have a loving family who cares for me so much. Love you guys and happy 4th!
