It is done!!! Honestly I have had such a hard time getting motivated to get this wall done. I don't know if it was because I didn't really know what I'm doing but I'm glad it is done. I still have a dresser to redo and a piece of art that needs to be painted to make this wall complete. So really I'm only half way done with the room but the wall itself is looking so good and for my first time doing wainscoting I think I did an okay job. You can check out the walls progress and tutorial here and my inspiration for the wall here. I'm so happy to have this wall be done (well I still need to finish a dresser but the wall it self is done!). I apologize for the long absence after the last post. Lately I have had such a hard time being motivated to finish any of my many projects. Do you ever have problems getting projects done? There are so many more things I want and need to get done before I go back to school. This week I hope to get most of the foyers tile laid. Lets cross our fingers and hope that happens. Lets get back to the wall! So here is a reminder of the plan for the layout. The last time I redecorated my room I was sophomore in high school. Since I was younger I choose a color scheme that was a little bit more juvenile as you can see from the image below (Check out more pictures of my room before). One of my favorite things about painting my walls gray is that it can be styled in so many different ways depending on the accent colors you use. Before I used white, teal and mustard as my accent colors. After I'm using dark green and a muddy pink with gold accents (I still can't get on the rose gold band wagon), BeforeAfterThe color I used is Black Evergreen by Behr. I ended up using Glidden Diamond in Eggshell. Would I use this paint again? No, I had to do 3 coats to get a full coverage. I was disappointing at the coverage. Only time will how the paint holds up on durability. I'm really happy to see how the room is really coming together. I'm sure that some of you won't like the green wall but I really think that it has brought the room together from a okay space to a great one. I should get the round mirror done this week and start painting the dresser tomorrow! Keep checking in to see the whole room done and see the wall all styled! What are your thoughts on the wall? Color? Style? I always love hearing from you guys!
